Due to 2017 changes to peer recovery center contracts, centers are now required to have a FACIT Evaluation completed by a peer evaluator as part of contract reviews. (The FACIT is a tool for evaluation for consumer operated programs.)
The Consumer Council System of Maine was asked, in our statutory role, to facilitate the training of peer evaluators and provide logistical support for site visits by the trained evaluators.
We are currently recruiting 12 consumers/peers who would be willing to get trained and complete the evaluations this fall. Peers will complete site visits to each center, administer the FACIT and score them. The results will be used for contract reviews.
Participants will receive a stipend and mileage reimbursement.
