Request your Absentee Ballot for the July 2020 Election

Courtesy of the League of Women Voters of Maine:

The July primary and referendum election is now just three weeks away. If you plan to vote by mail, there is still time to request your absentee ballot online or by phone, but don’t wait too much longer. It can take 5-7 days in each direction: to get your ballot to you; and then again for you to mail it back. Don’t wait. If you run out of time, you can drop off your ballot in person at your town hall.

You can also request your absentee ballot in person at your town office to take with you or vote in the presence of the clerk. That option will work right up to 8 p.m. on Election Day.

As of last Friday, there were just about 86,000 absentee ballot requests in the pipeline, and voters in most towns started receiving their ballots last week. If you requested a ballot more than a week ago, but have not yet received it by the end of this week, call your town office for a status check: https://www.maine.gov/sos/cec/elec/munic.html
